What does the research review look like?

This free sample shows only the first study review of a recent edition of the research review. In each edition, there are 10 study reviews.

How do I subscribe to the research review?

Either: click the button below and go to PayPal in order to create a monthly recurring payment of $10.

Or: click the button below to make a single annual payment of $120 using PayPal. This will cover the next 12 editions.

After paying through Paypal, AWeber will send you an automated email to confirm your email address, which will allow us to send you the research review. 

Once you have confirmed your email address, you will receive an email with a download link to the current edition.

If you do not receive this automated email, please try the following:

  • Check your email bulk, junk, and spam folders
  • If you use Gmail, please check your other tabs
  • Check your email provider filter settings. Many email providers use filters that block automated emails. You may not be aware that these filters are in place.
  • Check you are looking at your Paypal primary email address. To see which address this is, log into your PayPal account and look under Profile>My details.

If you still cannot find the automated email, please use the contact form to ask our support team for help, letting them know what you've already tried.

How do I access the research review?

Each month, a download link and a password will be emailed to you. This email is sent out at 8am GMT on the first day of the month.

Click on the download link in the email, and then enter the password to access the PDF of the research review.

These download links remain live for 30 days. If you forget to download your edition in time, please let us know through our contact form and we will provide you with a temporary one.

Can I change the email address that receives the research review?

Yes you can.

The download links to the research review are sent to the email address that you subscribed with. When you first subscribe, this is your primary email address on PayPal.

Once you have accessed your PayPal primary email address, and have verified your subscription, you can change your email address.

To do this, find one of the emails we have sent you.

Look at the bottom of that email for the AWeber "change subscriber options" link. Clicking on this link will take you to AWeber, where you can alter the email address that we send your monthly edition to.

You cannot change your email address until after you have verified it. If you have lost access to your PayPal primary email address, then you will need to change your PayPal primary address first (scroll down to the next section) and re-subscribe. We cannot fix this for you, but don't worry - we will refund the first subscription payment. Just let us know what's happened through our contact form.

Help, I cannot access my PayPal primary email address!

Here is how you amend your Paypal primary email address:

  • Log in to Paypal
  • Go to "My Account" (which it should open at)
  • Select "Profile" from the menu bar

Depending on your version of Paypal, you will either:

1. Find your email addresses displayed in a section on the next page. Here you can add new addresses (using the "+") and select "edit" beside your preferred address to set it as your primary address

or

2. Follow the steps below:

  • Select "My details" from the drop-down menu under this.
  • To the right of "Email" click "Update"
  • If your new address is already listed, skip the next two steps, otherwise continue.
  • At the bottom right corner of the new screen click on "add"
  • Enter the new email address and click on "Save"
  • Back at the list of email addresses, select the radio button next to the new email address and click on "Confirm"
  • You should now be sent an email, so that you can complete a verification process. Follow all the steps as directed by PayPal.
  • Once your new email address is confirmed, select the radio button next to it and click on "Make primary"

If you had already subscribed before discovering that you needed to change your PayPal primary address, please:

  1. Update your PayPal primary address
  2. Re-subscribe
  3. Let us know what's happened through our contact form 

We will cancel and refund the first payment profile for you.

 

How can I change my PayPal credit or debit card?

You can add a new bank account or credit/debit card to your Paypal account by following these steps:

  • Log in to your Paypal account
  • Click "Profile" near the top of the page
  • Click "My money"
  • Click "Update" in the Bank accounts or Credit/Debit Cards section
  • Click "Add / Add a card"
  • Complete the form, following any additional instructions you are sent by Paypal to verify your account/card.

You can change the card or bank account that Paypal uses to collect recurring payments for your subscription by following these steps:

  • Log in to your Paypal account
  • Click "Profile" near the top of the page
  • Click "My money"
  • Click "Update" in the My preapproved payments section
  • Click "Set Available Funding Sources" in the top right corner of the table
  • Select all payment methods you might want to use for making payments to any company (this includes other companies as well as us) and click Save.
  • If you want to set a specific recurring payment to only use a particular payment method, click the name of the merchant for the agreement you want to change
  • Click "Change" beside Backup Funding Source in the Funding Source section.
  • Select the payment method you'd like to use and click Save.

    I do not have a PayPal account. Can I still subscribe?

    Currently, we can only process monthly recurring payments using PayPal.

    If you do not want to set up a PayPal account, then you can still buy back issues through the store without a PayPal account.

    If you are happy to set up a PayPal account, simply go here and follow the instructions.

    Please can you send me an invoice for tax/expenses purposes?

    If you a non-EU resident we do not need to send you one, as you receive one automatically. Paypal emails an invoice to your PayPal primary email address each time a payment is made.

    If you are an EU resident and require a VAT/IVA receipt, please use the contact form to request these from our support team.

    How do I buy a subscription for someone else?

    Subscribe using the process described above for yourself, making sure that you click on the link in the follow up email to verify your own email address.

    Then, use the contact form to tell us that you have done this.

    When you get in touch, please provide both your name and email address and also the name and email address of the intended recipient. We will then make sure they receive the publication instead of you!

    I would like to cancel my subscription

    We are sorry to hear that!

    You can do this as follows.

    Firstly, make sure that you are logged into the correct PayPal account. This is the PayPal account that you used to purchase the subscription with.

    Please note that if you are logged into the wrong PayPal account, you will not be able to unsubscribe successfully.

    Secondly, once you have logged into the correct PayPal account, simply click on the button below:

    I have unsubscribed but payments are still being taken!

    The most likely causes for this are:

    1. That you clicked on the AWeber link instead of the PayPal link, by mistake.

      On all of our emails, we tell you that if you unsubscribe by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link to AWeber and not using the "Paypal unsubscribe button" link, this does not cancel your subscription payments.

    2. You used the PayPal unsubscribe button, which is found on all of the emails we have sent you, but logged in to the wrong Paypal account.

    If you cannot find one of the emails with the unsubscribe link, or have any other worries, you can login directly to your Paypal account and cancel the payment from there by following these steps:

    • Log in to your Paypal account
    • Click "Profile" near the top of the page
    • Depending on your Paypal version, either: click "My money" > click "Update" in the My preapproved payments section
    • Or: click "Payments" > click "Pre-approved payments
    • Select "Strength & Conditioning Research" from your list of payments
    • Click "Cancel" on the payment profile

    I have emailed you but you did not respond!

    You are probably emailing a no-reply email address that is used for sending bulk emails, which our technical support team do not have access to.
